no it shouldnt be that

any one should be able to teamkill. but if its someone team killing the same person over and over again then that shouldn't be allowed. or if its a group of people tk'ing one person over and over again, that shouldn't be allowed aswell.

#MakeTeamKillingGreatAgain

ye we defo cant allow targeting no matter what the outcome

tbh u genuinly have a point. its alot of fun to try and teamkill and get away with it, the risk and excitment of trying to get away with it might be better than the ability to just do it freely

mabey all we need is to change the rule to "teamkilling is slayable but encouraged" that way people who try it often dont end up banned for trolling and shit

Well.

Teamkilling should be allowed as long as....

You're not targeting someone round after round (should be pretty obvious).

Other than that... Fair game ^_^

I understand your logic of allowing teamkilling, but how does that improve server morale?

I think the majority of times teamkilling is hilarious, a vital part of the game that we are missing out on.  The rule is catering towards people who either suck at the game, the rule gives them a handicap and/or they are toxic players who can't enjoy getting pwned once in a while. I believe that the majority of active/long term player base have no problem when on the receiving end of getting teamkilled. The most laughs and moments in the game is when somebody gets pwned by a teammate. I find the current rule creates more hostility when somebody bitches to an admin to slay somebody. We need to encourage players to not get so upset when somebody outwits them, nor should we listen to their complaints....Allowing teamkilling will add a different perspective and playstyles for T's and utilizing the map to their advantage.

We shouldn't make rules for a minority of "abuses". I find it bullshit to think that it will be abused because it is nearly impossible to do so. Nor should we have rules for the minority of events and/or unexperienced jailbreak players; they should learn to play the game AS INTENDED, and experienced/active players shouldn't lose such a fun aspect for the game.

*If you say that this is "my opinion of what jailbreak is" go fuck yourself because you've played for what? not even 2 years? (I normally don't attack others but I think its justified during this point) I find that most of the counter arguments are from people who haven't even played Jailbreak, and are unworthy voices to listen to when it comes to crucial changes such as this. And LOL if you think that this ^ is what I meant by server morale. Its just the truth. We've done a good job revising the rules, and we've removed most problems. The act of removing it sets an example beyond the rules itself and sets a standard. We won't have rules that cater towards the minority of circumstances/events and player opinions.

I think my prior posts/debates/arguments in addition to this are enough to prove that the server morale will go up.

And to drive it home to people who are skeptical and are afraid of so called "ABUSE". What the fuck are you talking about? How is somebody going to abuse something that doesn't exist? Majority of teamkills are blatant, avoidable, and fucking hilarious.

These are my two alternatives. 1 or 2. I'm willing to compromise, but clearly prefer option 2.

1. Removes the word 'active'      Rule B06 - Teamkilling without a game being played is not allowed.

2. Remove the rule completely.

i mean i can still see the side for please don't change it, assholes are just gonna target me with the soccer ball while im trying to pay attention to the warden

maybe im just a biased ct player who likes popping heads but im still all for the halfway route of making it kill on sight instead of slayable. Ts would still be risking their own skin so they couldn't just assholes getting away with targeting newbies, getting easy peasy teamkills with their hands tied behind their back.

Catering to JB sweats on a game that doesn't see many new players these days isn't the smartest idea...just ruins the experience when you are trying to play and get teamkilled for no good reason at all other than for the enjoyment of the person who killed you.

And this is just a clear cut elitist mindset. How you "should" play the game isn't solely going out of your way to unjustifiably teamkill for your own enjoyment or whatever reason. I enjoy jailbreak, but I do not go out of my way to find every advantage to win the round in existence. Instead, like many others, I just play casually to have fun.

And it isn't even the "abuse" I am concerned about. The rule is just fundamentally flawed. No person should be allowed to teamkill without good reason (i.e. game). Accidents happen and that is fine. Teamkilling for the hell of it, however, is not a good reason.

The difference in opinions here is a difference in how you have fun in jailbreak.

Some people might find it frustrating to get team killed because they want to play map games

Others might find it funny to kill people with a soccer ball.

I get that. Some people care but some people don't. Some people just get pissed because they want to play the map games yet they just die randomly. I guess it just comes down to perception
